OCTOBER 23TH – 25TH 2019 BRIGAID project meeting, Tirana (Albania)

Issues related to climate are more than ever on the spotlight. This is the case for Albania which is a country that offers numerous opportunities for research and innovation in climate change adaptation.

The last BRIGAID Project Meeting will take place in Tirana, hosted by our partner AKPT, and with a strong involvement from the national Community of Innovation supporting BRIGAID activity in Albania.

In addition to the regular Project meeting, two external events are taking place.

On Wednesday, October the 23th, a workshop has been organised to reflect on the main climatic problems in Albania and think ahead on how BRIGAID tools and methods can be applied in practice to help cope with them. The registration link can be found here.

On the 24th, the International day of Climate Action, BRIGAID is hosting an innovation fair as a meeting point for innovators, investors and stakeholders from Albania and neighbor countries interested in innovative technologies enhancing climatic resilience. Please register here to get your invitation. Visitors will get a close look to the innovations supported by BRIGAID and will learn about the future of the project.

Where?

Our Albanian partner from the National Territory Agency (AKPT) will host the event. The Conference will be held in the Plaza hotel, floor 23th, in Tirana. On Friday, October the 25th, we will have an excursion to meet some testing activities of innovations currently under implementation of Tirana.

Who?

We welcome everyone who is interested in the application of BRIGAID tools for the development of innovations that can reduce the impact by droughts, floods and other extreme weather events. This is a valuable opportunity to interact with researchers, innovators and end-users and learn more about how to achieve an effective adoption of innovative solutions in practice.
