JUNE 13TH – 14TH 2019 Welcome to our conference in bucharest (Romania)

We are pleased to invite you to the next BRIGAID Conference on Climate Disaster Resilience and Innovation.

BRIGAID will hold a two-day conference on Climate Disaster Resilience and Innovation.

Among the planned activities we will have key note speeches, demonstrations of some of the innovations supported by BRIGAID, workshops about the tools developed and applied by the project, the awards of the Wetskills program as well as pitches and perspectives from the main actors in the innovation process: innovators, end users and investors.

We will celebrate the Official Opening of the Flood Proof Romania Polder, a living test facility in Facau, close to Bucharest.

Where?

Our partners from the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest (UTCB) will host the event. The Conference will be held in the UTCB premises, including an excursion to Facau, the polder area, 40 minutes southwest of Bucharest. You can find logistic information in the attachement.

Who?

We welcome everyone who is interested on testing and developing innovations that can reduce the impact by droughts, floods and other extreme weather events. From Romania to Europe, we want this Conference to be a hub for climate disaster resilience and innovation.
